1st Sunday after Pentecost, The Holy Trinity, Year A

Scriptures: Genesis 1:1--2:4a; Psalm 8; Matthew 28:16-20; 2 Corinthians 13:11-13

Key verse: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.” (2 Corinthians 13:13)

Questions to ponder:

1. There are many ways to greet others. Think of a time when you greeted someone, or someone greeted you and how that greeting changed your day? Why do you think it happened?

2. How do you think that greeting someone with a posture of the grace, love, and communion with God change our relationships with others?

3. How might you adapt the Triune God’s grace, love, and communion into the roles you play in your daily life such as at home, at work, at school, or/and at your community?

4. What challenges might you encounter through the adaptation and how can you overcome them?

Prayer: God of grace, love and communion, help us see the life-giving gift from Jesus Christ who has brought us into your grace, love, communion. May we learn and practice your grace, love, and communion to be able to respond to hate, bias, and prejudices with how you treat us, accept us, forgive us, love us, heal us, and call each one of us as your own. Thank you for the life-giving gift that you entrusted into our care to share and celebrate. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
